Jon Letts – Partner

BSc. (Hons), C.Eng, CITP, MBCS

Jon Letts heads up our Retained Search division. He is a Civil Engineering honours graduate (London), Chartered Engineer and Certified Information Technology Practitioner, who has worked internationally both as a Civil Engineer and subsequently in the IT industry for over 20 years, having held management and Board level responsibilities in Europe, Middle East, Australia and South Africa.

Following a number of years working for Murray and Roberts on such projects as the Steenbras Dam pumped storage scheme, he moved into IT business management. After 10 years with Burroughs Machines (now Unisys), he joined Siemens where he became a Division Director responsible for Banking and Government. He was then appointed Managing Director of Informix UK & MEA, after which he joined BMC Software, also as MD, building UK/MEA operations from 25 people and revenue of $10 million, to a team of 240 staff and a turnover of $120 million in just 4 years.

He opened up pan – European operations for Pentasafe Security Technologies as Vice President for Europe prior to their acquisition by NetIQ, before moving into Executive Search as a Director of Norman Broadbent in London to capitalise on his international team building experience.

He has since completed Senior Executive and Director level assignments in the UK, mainland Europe including France and Germany, and South Africa. His recent Clients have been global multinationals as well as locally based organisations

Allan Pike

Allan Pike’s earlier studies in Mechanical Engineering bear no similitude to the role of recruitment specialist and business entrepreneur that he has carried out for the past 26 years. His passion for seeing people fulfilled in their careers has been the stimulus of his natural progression into management consulting and executive careers counselling.
Allan is currently CEO of the Key Recruitment Group, which incorporates Key Executive Search, TechniStaff, Key Personnel, Key Technologies (IT staffing service) and Gradzone and he has led this business over the past 20 years. In addition he serves on the Business Resource Centre Board of Learn to Earn in Khayelitsha, an organisation specifically focused on providing unemployed people with skills that enable them to become gainfully employed.

Allan has a highly successful track record in providing a wide-range of assessment, selection, management consulting and development services to sectors such as manufacturing, mining, textile trading, petroleum and NGO services. Specifically he brings extensive experience, an intimate understanding of human behaviour and sharp perception to the Consulting team.

Diane Mallaby

Diana Mallaby, a Counselling Psychologist, has been in private practice for nine years. She qualified at the University of the Orange Free State with a MA degree in Psychology and is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa). She has worked closely with the key Group through the Outplacement Programme offered at Key Executive and has worked as a regional coordinator for a large NGO in South Africa since 2001.

Diane’s experience in adult psychotherapy and intervention covers the areas of personal and career development, organisational psychology, corporate
workshops and training, and lifestyle management. Diane is committed to facilitating occupational and personal growth through identifying the unique
needs and resources of each individual, and helping them to develop an appreciation of their own personal strengths and challenges. This provides
the foundation for further exploration, growth and necessary change.

Elzaan Janse van Rensburg

Elzaan heads up our research and marketing at Key Executive Search. She is an Industrial Psychology Honours graduate (University of the North-West) and is currently studying towards her Master’s degree at the University of Stellenbosch.

Elzaan started her career as a Human Resources intern at the North-West University and was subsequently employed as a Human Resources Administrator in the department of Organisation Leadership and Research where she coordinated the University’s Leadership Academy and researched human resource management principles.

Elzaan has a passion for research, and managing the liaison between clients and candidates.

At Key Executive Search she fulfils the roles of researcher, marketeer and personal assistant to Jon Letts, who heads up Key Executive Search as the Consulting Partner.
